Term limits in our City that would limit a person to three consecutive four-year terms and is fair and equitable for all. We have to end the ever-spiraling costs for local campaigns and open the field to ordinary citizens with new ideas and fresh thinking.
- Term limits for the Ventura County Board of Supervisors were overwhelmingly supported by 75% of the county’s voters
- Term limits increase competition and open up the opportunity for citizens, regardless of income, to be elected
- Term limits reduce the power of special interest that have a lock hold on incumbents
- Term limits create a citizen council for the people
- Term limits eliminate governing to win the next election
